BREAKING: Swedish Royal House's members Decrease (Monday 7/10/2019)

Changes in members of the Swedish Royal House have been announced eralier this month. King Carl XVI Gustaf decided to decrease members of the Royal House, in order to clarify who will bear the responsibility to undertake official duties to assist the incumbent Head of State (& future ones). A communiqué analysing those changes was published on the official website of Swedish Royal Court on Monday, October 7 (2019).
It concretely stated that five of The King's seven grandchildren will cease to be members of The Royal House. The two sons of Prince Carl Philip & Princess Sofia, as well as the three children of Princess Madeleine & Mr. Christopher O'Neill will no longer be styled as "Royal Highnesses", which they enjoyed upon birth. They will, however, remain members of The Royal family, meaning just that the state will no longer provide them part of its budget for official duties. All children, aged 1-5, won't be obliged to perform them. Additionally, Prince Alexander (Duke of Södermanland), Prince Gabriel (Duke of Darlana), Princess Leonore (Duchess of Gotland), Prince Nicholas (Duke of Ångermanland) & Princess Adrienne (Duchess of Blekinge) will retain their Ducal titles.

Their parents, TRH Crown Princess Victoria & Prince Daniel and maternal grandparents, TM King Carl XVI Gustaf & Queen Silvia, were once again confirmed as "Sweden’s highest representatives within the Realm and vis-à-vis other States."

Princess Madeleine with her 3 children
TRH Prince Carl Philip & Princess Sofia (Duke & Duchess of Värmland) and Princess Madeleine (Duchess of Hälsinkland & Gästrinkland), issued separate statements on behalf of their families following the announcement.
