Shortly after the its recent royal wedding, the Egyptian former Royal family had another celebration behind closed doors!

Prince Muhammad Ali, the firstborn of the last King and titular Heir apparent to the throne, turned 40 last Tuesday (February 5).

His jubilee was celebrated privately, with his father, wife & children, while a few photos from the event were released later that day.

Muhammad Ali (or Mohamed Ali Farouk) was born on February 5, 1979, in Cairo, the elder son of ex-King Fouad II & his former wife Fadila. He has two younger siblings, a sister & a brother.

His father has been the last King of Egypt & Sudan, having reigned in infancy for 17 months before monarchy was abolished in 1953. His commoner mother, Jewish-born Dominique-France Loeb-Picard converted to Islam following her marriage Fouad in 1976, but lost her royal title & priviledges after their divorse was finalised in 2008.

The prince grew up and was educated in Europe and Morocco, attending the Swiss Institute Le Rossey. He was reported to work in a Parisian real estate in 2011.

Prince Mohamad Ali met his future wife, Princess Noal Zahir Shah (a granddaughter of the last King of Afghanistan) in 2012, at the wedding of Prince Rudolf of Liechtenstein and Tılsım Tanberk in Istanbul. Their betrothal was announced on 27 April 2013, while their Royal Wedding took place on 30 August (that year) at Istanbul's former Çırağan Palace in the presence of royal guests & media. The couple's children, twins: Prince Fouad-Zaher Hassan & Princess Farah-Noor, came to the world on 12 January, 2017.

Ever since his birth, Prince Muhammad Ali is formally styled (within the former royal family) as The Prince of the Sa'id, a title
bestowed on the heirs of the throne when Egypt was a kingdom.
